I curated and exhibited a 20-artist group show at the Anderson Gallery titled ((oa—ao)), named for Hilma Af Klint's notation for 'light.' The show was conceived as a response to the winter solstice, also known as The Longest Night. I invited artists to offer work that responds both to the Solstice, and to a corresponding installation/ritual I created called Spiral Walk—thinking about life cycles; somatics; our relation to light (and dark), and what we might clunkily refer to as the 'natural world;' human consciousness; community care strategies; etc. Artists: Raúl Aguilar Canela, Hel Cooper, Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo, Julia Dann, Ash Galka, Martha Glen, Ellen Hanson, HH Hiaasen, GM Keaton, nicole killian, Cecilia Kim, mariah barden jones, Eleanor Mahin Thorp, Caroline Minchew, Sarah Parker, James Payne, Hanaa Safwat, Peat Szilagyi, Lauren Thorson.
